I CAN'T POEM

Writer's picture: Rejjia CamphorRejjia Camphor

I can’t give the earth back its cotton

I can’t sail my ancestors back across the sea

I can’t take the crack out of the needle, out of the body, out of the hood

I can’t unbore a child

I can’t.

But what I can do is write you a poem

These words are trying to do the work.
